Respected throughout the industry as leader and innovator, Michael draws on more than two decades of healthcare experience in a variety of senior management positions. He co-founded two previous companies—a national healthcare financial consulting firm and an acute care and psychiatric hospital system.

Al Franklin
Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Clients benefit from Al’s vast knowledge of revenue cycle management gained from 24 years of healthcare leadership. He has particular expertise in enhancing managed care accounts processes and business office operations. Al’s background includes work with large acute care hospitals, multi-hospital systems and university-affiliated hospitals.

Jeff MacDonald

As one of our original co-founders, Jeff has guided the financial management of Cymetrix since 2001. Jeff has more than 12 years of financial management and operations experience and has held a variety of management level positions for several nationally known healthcare financial consulting firms.

Del Davenport

Leveraging more than a decade of healthcare experience, Del is the driving force behind the Cymetrix technical infrastructure, directing and participating in the development, implementation and support of its IT solutions. The success of Cymetrix is reflective of his adaptability and innovative approach to the unique challenges that exist within the healthcare industry.

Twilla Phillips
RHIA, Vice President, HIM Solutions
Twilla leads our efforts to introduce clients to our Clinical Documentation Integrity solution. This innovative solution prepares our clients to meet new federal mandates on coding and payments initiated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in 2007. As a key member of the team that developed this unique solution, our clients benefit from Twilla's industry expertise in compliance issues, Evaluation/Management Documentation guidelines and DRG Coding Validation Audits. More than 15 years experience in health information management, physician office practice management and clinical coding further expand her range of industry understanding.

Shela Schemel
RHIA, Vice President of Operations, HIM Coding Division
Shela is the guiding force behind the success of our HIM remote coding division. From rural facilities to large teaching hospitals, Shela and her team of AHIMA-certified specialists provide clients with consistent and reliable coding services. Annually her team codes more than 2-million charts for our clients nationwide. As a key member of the team that developed our new Clinical Documentation Integrity solution, our clients continue to gain from Shela's industry expertise in compliance issues, Evaluation/Management Documentation guidelines and DRG Coding Validation Audits. Shela has extensive experience in hospital management and co-owned a coding consulting company.

Lori Zern
Vice President, Patient Financial Services
Lori guides the administration and operational activities of Patient Financial Services. An industry leader in outsourcing, Lori leads the set-up, staffing, resource allocation, interface and project oversight of more than $2 billion in accounts receivable for our clients. She has been with Cymetrix since its inception, sharing insights gained from heading operations for leading publicly traded national accounts receivable outsourcing vendors such as Medaphis Hospital Services Corporation and NCO Financial Services.

John Nulty
Senior Vice President, Business Development
John oversees Cymetrix’ business development initiatives and is dedicated to providing results-oriented solutions for our clients. With more than 25 years of hospital revenue cycle experience, John understands the complex business issues our clients face and has the experience to generate innovative solutions to solve those challenges. Previously, John held a variety of management positions for companies such as Ernst & Young and Perot Systems.

Jayson Yardley
Senior Vice President, Comprehensive Revenue Cycle Solutions
Managing complex, end-to-end revenue cycle projects requires superior attention to detail and a thorough understanding of the needs of each client. The successful implementation and management of our Comprehension Revenue Cycle Management Solutions is in the capable hands of Jayson. Previously, Jayson held senior positions with Navigant Consulting and Ernst & Young. He was also a founding partner of POS Health Inc., a company providing web-based point of service collection applications to hospitals.

Cathleen Stoker
Vice President, Training and Education
Cathleen ensures that our highly skilled workforce receives the consistent top quality training and education needed to achieve the strategic business goals of both Cymetrix and its client partners. Her background includes degrees in Healthcare Administration and Education, and she brings to her position more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining the Cymetrix team, she was the Director of Education and Quality Assurance for HCA, Inc. By revising, developing and implementing strategic training and education systems, Cathleen will enhance and improve the quality of work throughout all major revenue cycle areas as well as promote the personal and professional growth of all team members.

Jim Zuran
Vice President, Patient Access
Jim leads the expansion of our Patient Access and Entitlement Solutions. With more than 15 years of industry experience, his extensive knowledge of regulatory issues along with his strong background in eligibility programs, financial services and revenue cycle operations are invaluable to the development of innovative solutions that focus on the start of the revenue cycle. Jim’s background includes work with large acute care hospitals, multi-hospital systems and governmental regulatory agencies.
